Offering care and assistance to orphans and at-risk youth in the community, a dedicated team of Christian youth workers operates through Mamkhulu.org to reach and serve. Together they manage the center’s operations, implement programs in schools, at the centre and at our Hope Camps, and deliver counseling services to children and youth within the community.

Chief Operations officer

Pastor Sthembiso Nkambule

Sthembiso Nkambule is the COO of Mamkhulu. Org and of Ekukhanyeni.
Sthembiso is based at the Ekukhanyeni Retreat Centre, where he continues his work with our community projects on a weekly basis spearheading our food distribution programme to the many children and youth in our Hope Clubs as well as coordinating various staff inititatives. 

Social Worker

Simangele Hlatshwayo

Simangele is a licensed social worker affiliated with Mamkhulu.org, stationed at the Litsemba Centre. She supports orphans and vulnerable children facing various challenges, ranging from securing government grants to addressing family issues. Her counseling skills and expertise enable us to deliver exceptional holistic care to the children and youth involved in our programs.

SOS Programme Manager

Mbongiseni Nkosi

Mbongiseni serves as the manager of the Supporting our Schools Programme in South Africa, which operates through Hope Clubs within schools. He collaborates with a Canadian NGO known as Reachout to Africa, which also facilitates Hope Clubs in Canada under a program called Schools for Schools. This partnership is positively impacting the lives of students in both nations. At present, he oversees 14 schools.

Feeding Scheme and Clothing Bank

Senath Mashaba

Senath serves as the coordinator of both the Clothing Bank and our Feeding Scheme project. She supervises the Litsemba Centre Kitchen Staff and ensures that food is ordered and collected for processing and distribution.

Reading Clubs and Girls Programs Coordinator

Nomcebo Gama

Nomcebo has initiated and led our reading clubs and girls’ programs. As a trained psychologist, she supports children facing reading difficulties in various schools. Additionally, she conducts Girls’ talks at several institutions, offering mentorship and guidance to help young girls avoid unwanted pregnancy and domestic abuses.

Community Development Co-ordinator

Sindile Zitha

Sindile possesses a bachelor’s degree in Development Studies. She has received training in leadership and counseling skills, which greatly benefits both the organization and the children she serves. Additionally, she is a qualified coach and mentor, overseeing the President’s Award Programme for 25 young individuals.

Pregnancy Help Network Co-ordinator

Judy Shabangu 

Judy heads our pregnancy care initiative. As an auxiliary social worker, she manages the Litsemba Pregnancy Care Centre Programme, which supports women facing unplanned pregnancies or crises. Her services encompass follow-up assistance, counseling, home visits, family mediation, and the provision of essential items for newborns.
