Programs for Girls

Programs for Girls

We are committed to uplifting and assisting girls in our community through a range of initiatives. Our programs aim to foster personal development, education, and holistic well-being among young women.

Pregnancy Care Program

In collaboration with the National Pregnancy Help Network, Mamkhulu.org operates a 24/7 pregnancy crisis helpline through WhatsApp at +27 66 183 0835. This essential program, managed by a qualified social worker, offers counseling, support, and information to teenagers and young women dealing with unplanned pregnancies in a secure and confidential setting. We also provide guidance on sexual health and relationships. When feasible, our trained staff assist with family counseling, conflict resolution, and the supply of practical resources.

Girls Clubs

Our Girls Clubs operate in multiple schools, either after school or during Life Orientation classes. The key aim is to prevent teenage pregnancy by empowering girls to imagine their futures and learn how to avoid early pregnancies.

Teen Mom’s Clubs

These clubs take place at the Litsemba Centre and focus on providing parenting skills, economic empowerment, baby care, and psychosocial support. Our trained staff work closely with teen moms, facilitating club activities, conducting home visits, and offering guidance as they navigate their journey into motherhood.
