Ekukhanyeni: A Sanctuary of Light and Healing in Mpumalanga
Ekukhanyeni, meaningThe Place of Light, is our retreat center nestled in the mountains of Mpumalanga Province in South Africa. Acquired by Mamkhulu Org in 2017, Ekukhanyeni serves as both an income-generating model and a home for our camps and youth programs.
Over the years, Ekukhanyeni has been utilised for team training and has hosted up to five psychosocial support camps for our orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) per yer. The facility has also welcomed hundreds of other groups over the years. We welcome visitors to come and pray on the mountain and engage in the numerous activities available at the center.
Youth Dormitories
With four dormitories and more than 100 beds, Ekukhanyeni is the ideal venue for large youth camp groups looking for overnight accommodation.
Guest House
The Guest House serves as a venue for both Mamkhulu.Org and tourist, various guests, including groups seeking accommodation for retreats or other events.
Camp Activities
With a variety of customized activities available, Youth Camp Facilitators can design an activities schedule that meets their goals and needs.
